This submission responds to proposed reforms to Families and Children Activity programs, supporting consolidation to improve service delivery while emphasising the need for culturally safe, trauma-informed and community-led approaches. It highlights the importance of meeting the diverse needs of First Nations families, multicultural and refugee families, families affected by disability, and those living in regional and remote areas. The submission recommends long-term funding certainty, improved data collection and stronger support for culturally responsive service models.
