AMWA commends the ATO’s commitment to equity and inclusion while urging the Framework to explicitly address the vulnerabilities of migrant, refugee and CALD women. The submission calls for broader definitions of vulnerability, sustained co-design, stronger staff training in cultural safety, and tailored support for survivors of violence and women on temporary visas, ensuring the tax system is fair, accessible and empathetic for all.
