AMWA attended Women Deliver 2026 in Narrm/Melbourne, the first Women Deliver conference held in the Oceanic Pacific region, taking part in 15 events across four days, including co-presenting with the Settlement Council of Australia, contributing to the National Women’s Alliances showcase panels, and launching the Activate Her Skills report.

The report captures AMWA’s key contributions across sessions on leadership, settlement, economic security and systems of power, alongside reflections on themes emerging across the conference: intersectionality, decolonisation, care as infrastructure, and the redistribution of power and resources to the communities already leading change.

It also sets out the advocacy implications for AMWA’s ongoing work with the Office for Women and across government, philanthropy and sector partnerships, including reframing skills recognition as a productivity and justice issue, embedding settlement as gender equality infrastructure, and progressing partnership with First Nations women’s organisations.
