- Support shared advocacy goals and avoid actions that undermine or duplicate the work of others.

- Value and centre the perspectives of those with lived experience in all aspects of engagement, advocacy and decision-making.
- Avoid tokenism and commit to meaningful inclusion.
4. Integrity and Accountability
- Act ethically, transparently, and in alignment with AMWA’s values and purpose.
- Declare any conflicts of interest and engage honestly in all interactions.
5. Confidentiality and Care
- Respect the confidentiality of sensitive discussions or shared stories, particularly those involving lived experience.
- Approach all contributions with care, empathy and cultural sensitivity.
